The Rise of Women's Basketball

Lessons of Dominance, Humanity, and The Power of Consistency
Mental Peace Performance Spotlight

Today’s Mental Peace Performance Spotlight is dedicated to the women of the WNBA...

…and I want to start by saying congratulations on coming to an agreement on the new CBA ahead of the upcoming season.
That moment represents more than just business. That’s years of work, sacrifice, and belief in the vision.
We’re starting to see packed arenas, sold-out events, and a level of excitement around the game that continues to grow.

That’s women taking ownership of their platform and pushing the game forward.

And one of the biggest reasons for that growth is players like A’ja Wilson.

A’ja is dominant. One of the best in the world. She controls the game, sets the tone, and competes at the highest level every single night. But what makes her special to me is that she’s willing to show she’s human too.

She’s open about the pressure.
She’s honest about the journey.

And she embraces both the highs and the moments where things aren’t perfect.

That’s real strength.

And when you look at the college level, you can see that same energy continuing to rise. Programs like LSU, South Carolina, and UConn have continued to produce stars and building something special.

Players like Flau’jae Johnson and Milaysia Fulwiley are absolute ballers and fun to watch at LSU.

While Raven Johnson is an absolute floor general for Coach Dawn Staley at South Carolina. The future of women’s basketball is good hands.

They’re bringing passion, personality, and purpose to the game and it’s showing that  this isn’t just a moment… this is a movement. And it all ties back to one thing: Consistency.
The women of the WNBA didn’t wait for validation… they built momentum. So the message today is simple: You can be dominant… and still be human. You can feel pressure… and still perform. And when you stay committed to your purpose, growth will come.

Keep showing up. Keep building.
